Very, very nice netbook. My wife loves it. One problem which it, which apparently many people have (and I have too) is the wireless card. It is erratic and I have to restart and repair my wireless networks every so often. The problem I see with it is that if it is called a netbook, then why won’t it stay connected? One thing I did for problem was to apply all Microsoft updates and that seems to have cured the problem.

Perfect graduation gift. It comes with us everywhere we go. VERY compact, great picture quality, sound is better than expected based on reviews. Perfect for note taking in class, surfing on trips where WiFi is available, etc.

3 Stars Not that great for the price…
Our average is having 3-4 computers/laptops at a time because we need them for work. We have two old/1st generation macbooks (quite heavy) and needed something easy to carry around. We have a quite good knowledge about computers, read many reviews, and became fascinated about the NC-10, which is a kind of “mystery” computer that is not sold in electronics stores (at least around here).

The screen is the best but does not support full HD (as the HP), which is bad because we cannot connect it to our flat screen TV to watch movies from Netflix. The mouse pad is way to small!!! The keyboard is as hard as the mouse keys… Construction seems sturdy but it does not matter much because Amazon packing was a joke and is a miracle that the computer arrived working.

It seems that we have to pay 15% of restocking fee to return it then the solution is pray to God to make it worth $399 on a $329 worth netbook (same as the Accer).

I read all the other reviews before I bought and cannot say any more about it, except that all the 100+ reviews where right.Fantastic screen is on top of my list. Excellent, one limitation, but that not what I bought it for. I love to edit video and make slide shows. This is NOT the computer for that. The video card can’t keep up the show presentation. To many jumps, hesitations etc. But thats something I should have realized, since I spend top dollars to install a gamers video card on my home computer. Bottom line, the NC 10-14 is great.KAH

5 Stars Extra Time with mini-notebooks
Just got a mini notebook. Didn’t realize how little time you actually have (2.5 hrs or so) with the three cell battery that comes with it. Had to keep recharging. This battery, a 6 cell, replaces mine perfectly. No problems ( charging, heat, etc) All works just fine & I use it for most the day, without recharge, but recharge time is also SHORT (1/2 hrs 45min?? est). It just works find for me. I’d recommend it and also the dealer, who was excellent in service.

I think the reason may be due to the specs of my laptop. I have also added some items that are draining it quicker. The overall charge life I am seeing is still in the near 4 hour mark. The shortest I have ever had it run was for 2.5 hours with a bluetooth adapter and an external CD/DVD rom drive attached being powered over the USB port.

Still a great investment and battery. Would add this product to any machine I own. The seller is great as well. I received the product quicker than expected.

Owning an Acer Aspire One means also owning the tiny little battery that comes with it. That small (albeit cute and light) battery usually gave me personally (on a good day) about two and a half hours of battery life after full charge at the most. What’s the point of owning these ultra-portable computers if you’re chained to an outlet?? This 6-cell replacement battery, though, is the one the manufacturer SHOULD have made standard on the Aspire One. Yes, it does make the netbook slightly heavier to hold, but not so much that it makes holding the device uncomftable. Also, yes, this 6-cell battery is larger and does “stick out” slightly from the rear of the device when inserted (the manufacturer’s original battery is flush with the device); however, the design of the battery is such that it looks completely natural, especially when the netbook is opened and in use. Also, the design of this replacement battery is rounded at the back so that, when inserted in the computer, it just looks like a small, rounded handle attached to the back of the netbook…not unattractive, but certainly not as pretty as the itty-bitty original battery (with the 2-hour life span). Speaking of life span, on my first charge with this new 6-cell battery, it reported 4:58 of time remaining (nearly 5 hours!) I also use my wireless internet constantly (which discharges the battery faster) and I still have seen this new battery discharging pretty much as promised (just under 5 hours per charge). In the end, this battery works, it works well and you’ll instantly go from 2.5 hours of battery to a much more workable 4 to 5 hours per charge. Plus, you’ll still have your original battery as a backup for a total of almost eight hours of available battery power with normal usage. If you use your Acer Aspire One as a portable device at all, you should buy this battery.

5 Stars Extra Juice, Extra Weight, Extra in the Back End, But Worth It
I travel a lot so I bought the extra battery to have the extra juice availabe when I am away from a power source. I use this as my primary battery with the original 3-cell as my backup, which keeps about a 98% charge for days on end. It added a little extra weight but it’s still manageable. A portion of the 6-cell sticks out in the rear, but it tilts the base upward so it may actually help with viewing the screen. Highly recommended.

5 Stars Works As Expected
If you’re wondering about this battery and whether or not to buy it, I’ll say thus far I’m happy with it. It’s for my Acer Aspire One AOA150-1635. Battery read a little over 6 hours in Linux (this fluctuates on both Windows and Linux depending on what you’re doing…it shot up to over 7 at a few points).

I, of course, charged it until it was 100% full and then ran it down to about 5% and am charging again. It works as advertised and I did in fact get roughly 6 hours or so out of it. It’s quite big in comparison to my 3 cell. Kind of sucks because it keeps the screen from opening as far back but you can still tilt it to about a 120 degree angle give or take. Also with the battery being so enormous, it tilts the keyboard up to a nice typing angle when you set it on a flat surface AND as others have mentioned with these batteries, it makes quite a nice handle to carry the netbook with.

All in all it seems like a pretty good battery. Does what it is supposed to and I can’t really fault them for the battery being so big…it has 3 times the amount of cells as the battery that originally came with my laptop.

I purchased this for my Acer Aspire One. After charging it overnight my battery meter indicated 8 hours and 20 minutes. Wow! It’s also less bulky and lighter than I expected. Great service from the supplier. Item arrived in 4 days. Worth the price.

5 Stars Battery lasts a long time!
I am really impressed with how long the battery lasts, it added some weight to my netbook but not enough to be cumbersome. The battery lasts approximately 6 hours which is what I wanted, I use this small computer on the go and needed the extra hours without charging it.
